Leadership: End of an Era & New Beginnings
Walvis Bay, Namibia — On 8 March 2024, the Schoemans Business Breakfast took place at the scenic Walvis Bay Yacht Club. This event marked a pivotal moment in our esteemed history. The ceremony celebrated the dawn of a new era with the introduction of Mrs. Lucretia Fourie as the newly appointed Coastal Branch Manager. It also marked the retirement of Mr. Theo Schoeman, who graciously passed on the leadership baton. He leaves behind a strong legacy.
Farewell
Mr. Theo Schoeman, the outgoing coastal branch manager and the son of our founders, Mr. Hendrik Petrus Schoeman and Mrs. Joey Schoeman, was celebrated for his remarkable leadership and dedication to the Schoemans business. During his tenure, Mr. Schoeman played a pivotal role in driving the coastal branch’s success. He ensured consistent growth.


Retirement
He joined the company in January 1970 after completing his BA Social Science Degree at the University of Port Elizabeth, now called Nelson Mandela University. His retirement ushers in a time of reflection on his considerable contributions. He leaves an indelible mark on our legacy.

Mrs. Lucretia Fourie’s journey at Schoemans exemplifies the company’s commitment to fostering career growth and nurturing talent within our ranks. She began her tenure with the company as the Credit Manager in April 2022. Here, she excelled with her strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Her ability to build strong and lasting relationships with both clients and colleagues alike was evident. Her dedication and exceptional performance led to her promotion as Coastal Branch Manager
